Quartzforms, the Scapin Group brand at the forefront of technologically advanced mineral surface manufacturing, has introduced Madreterra for the bathroom. The second generation of sustainable slabs, born from research and innovation, the collection opens a new chapter in the dialogue between nature and technology, where material is regenerated and transformed into conscious design, enriching wellness spaces through beauty, ethics and lasting performance.
Developed through extensive technological research and a genuine commitment to sustainability, Madreterra represents a significant evolution in the way bathroom environments are conceived and shaped. Thanks to an innovative production process, each surface is created from 100% recycled aggregates sourced from quarry waste. Free from added quartz and featuring a reduced crystalline silica content, these slabs transcend the limitations of traditional interior design surfaces.
Madreterra naturally joins the Ecotone family, Quartzforms’ dedicated sustainable surfaces project, where technology and environmental awareness merge into an authentic and innovative design vision. Alongside the New Era collection — 12 slabs developed using a cutting-edge formulation composed of recycled materials, bio-based resin compounds and less than 5% crystalline silica — Madreterra introduces a new interpretation of upcycling: a creative process that restores value and purpose to granite aggregates.
With Madreterra, Quartzforms continues its sustainability journey, driven by scientific research and technological innovation, where every detail is the result of rigorous study and experimentation. A future-oriented vision and ongoing commitment translate into new solutions for horizontal and vertical applications, combining performance, sustainability and beauty while offering contemporary design an evolved and living material.
Luce opens the collection with its crystalline presence, reflective and pure like calcite exposed to sunlight, bringing luminosity to interiors with the grace of a living stone. Alongside it, sandy tones unfold in two distinct interpretations: Dune, warm and mineral, recalls arid landscapes sculpted by the wind, while Isola, deeper and more assertive, evokes volcanic coastlines where sand and rock merge in a powerful balance of character. Completing the material palette is Ombra, introducing a richer, earthier note: a desaturated brown that expresses materiality in its rawest, most authentic form.
Across all four surfaces, irregularly sized veins and textures create a dynamic rhythm, enhancing depth and contrast in a sophisticated interplay of visual balance. Madreterra is the result of an idea transformed into form, of stone reborn and of technology that listens to nature.
