Eye-Tracking the Design Elements in the Kitchen

Published: January 16, 2023

Research from UK home insurance service provider Confused.com has revealed the design elements people really notice when they’re in the kitchen. Eye-tracking software was used to identify the total number of times people looked at different components of the kitchen. Fixation rankings were determined by the number of total views for each element. The average amount of time people looked at each area of the room was also recorded, and where elements had the same number of total views, viewing durations were used to rank elements.
