KBIS 2025 took place last week, and the show had more than 43,000 registered attendees and almost 700 exhibitors. More than 150 of those exhibitors were new to KBIS. Although the KBB editors were not able to see all of them, we were able to visit with numerous exhibitors and learn about their new offerings for 2025.

Interview with the KBB Person of the Year: Alena Capra CMKBD
Chelsie Butler, executive editor of Kitchen & Bath Business, had 30 minutes to delve into what motivates and inspires Alena Capra as a designer, TV host and advocate for local charities. Here’s what they talked about in their session on NEXTStage, sponsored by Ferguson Home. Capra is he founder and principal of Fort Lauderdale-based Alena Capra Designs and was the host of the NKBA Design + Industry Awards that kicked off KBIS on Feb. 24. She also served as a judge for Best of KBIS, and on Feb. 27, she sat down for a one-on-one interview on NEXTStage as KBB Person of the Year. Through it all, Capra retained her polished, professional demeanor – and her trademark high heels.

A Closer Look at the 2025 KBIS DesignBites Winners
Last week during KBIS, we had the chance to sit down at the KBIS Podcast Studio (sponsored by AjMadison) with the two 2025 KBIS DesignBites winners. This was the 10th anniversary edition of the annual ultimate product showdown, with top brands highlighting the latest product innovations in the kitchen and bath marketplace. Brand with the Biggest Bite went to BlueStar’s 48-inch Induction Range, and the People’s Choice award went to Potty Sniffer by JEMSMART. KBIS, the destination for kitchen and bath design professionals, revealed the winners of Best of KBIS, the industry’s premier awards program. Sponsored by Luxe Interiors + Design, the prestigious awards celebrate function, design and innovation at KBIS. Award winners were announced at the awards ceremony on NEXTStage on Feb. 26, 2025, in Las Vegas. Sarah Shelton, senior market editor of Luxe Interiors + Design, led the ceremony as this year’s host. KBIS Announces 2025 Best Booth Winners
The Best Booth Awards recognized outstanding exhibitor creativity on display at KBIS 2025. Remarkable ingenuity paired with strategic collaborations continue to raise the level of competition for best booth every show, with brands showcasing limitless possibilities. Each year, exhibitors present new ways to display products and inspire attendees, leaving a lasting impression with craftsmanship, innovation and imagination.
An indicator of the design landscape at large, 2025 booth trends included warm, mixed materials, dramatic color saturation and personalized spaces with clear points of view. Judges Nar Bustamante (Nar Fine Cabinetry), Christopher Grubb (Arch-Interiors Design Group) and Rachel Hutchens, CMKBD (Maven Home Interiors) remarked that the product displays were some of the most sophisticated they have seen. Elegant, elevated design details stood out, creatively using vertical space, lighting and fabrication.
