Barcelona-based architectural hardware company, Viefe introduced three new designs to its collections — Hako + Hako Big, Beam and Dropp.
Hako + Hako Big
In designing the Hako handle, Danish studio Steffensen & Würtz drew inspiration from the intricacies of the Japanese craft of box making, known as hako-tsukuri. As simple as it may seem, creating a flawless block of wood requires exceptional technical expertise, with every detail carefully honed, from polished edges to the seamless fit of parts and perfectly smooth surfaces.
The Hako handle is distinguished by its exquisite woodworking, masterfully combining a square-profile central body with attachment bases that merge into a single, cohesive element. This joint is imperceptible to the touch, revealed only by the interplay of contrasting grain. The collection is available in oak and walnut.
Hako Big is the perfect fit for wardrobes and drawers. And thanks to its single-sided and back-to-back mounting systems, both interior and sliding doors. It is available in two lengths.
Beam
Designed by Johannes Lindner, the Beam handle is inspired by the play of perspectives found in contemporary architecture. Like buildings that reveal surprising details when viewed from different angles, Beam changes appearance depending on how you look at it.
From the front, it embodies the elegance of minimalist lines, while from above, its character intensifies, revealing a robust, ergonomic presence with exceptional visual impact. Beam strikes the perfect balance between simplicity and boldness. Its versatility is enhanced by its range of finishes, including understated brushed nickel, titanium black, brushed brass cava, matte black, eye-catching polished titanium black, polished nickel and polished brass. Beam is offered in three sizes.
Dropp
The Japanese art of origami has profoundly influenced the design of the Dropp handle. German designer Ilja Huber has captured the clean lines and soft folds that echo the geometric purity of this ancient technique. The Dropp handle is a lightweight must-have.
Timeless and versatile, its comfortable ergonomic shape provides a grip that feels as good as it looks. It comes in two sizes and formats — an option for smaller spaces and a longer version. It is available as either a traditional handle or a sleek triangular clip that doubles as an eye-catching visual detail. Made from aluminum, Dropp is ideal for everything from small pieces of furniture to large doors and drawers and is offered in brushed nickel, matte white and matte black.
