Johnson’s 2060SC Series Heavy-Duty Pocket Door Frame Kit now accommodates doors up to 10 feet high and includes the 2066 Soft-Close Door Hardware.

Made in the U.S., the kit delivers enduring performance under heavy usage in homes, condos, apartments, offices, hotels, health care facilities and senior living communities.
The new, increased door height feature of Johnson’s extra heavy-duty 2060SC Series adds to the kit’s versatility. It now accommodates taller solid-core doors up to 10 feet high, 5 feet wide and weighing up to 330 pounds. It is compatible with 2-by-6-in. timber walls or 6-in. steel-framed stud walls when using the Steel Stud Adapter Kit.
Packaged to enable easy transport to job sites and quick installs once there, the hardware works in both single door and converging door applications. The innovative kit can be adapted for non-standard wall thicknesses or block masonry walls. In addition, the frame header may be cut down to accommodate smaller door sizes.
Other features contribute to installation ease and trouble-free use. For instance, all-steel split studs maximize wall rigidity. Self-adjusting floor brackets neutralize the impact of uneven floors. Both features help ensure pocket doors remain smooth gliding, even with repeated use over time.
The plywood clip set 1515-PLY, purchased separately, can reinforce walls containing pocket doors for added strength and rigidity. The 1515-PLY clip set attaches ⅝-in. plywood panels (not included) to the pocket frame structure, providing a solid surface up to 30% stronger for mounting of heavy objects such as cabinetry, tile or shelving.
With Johnson’s 2066 soft-close/soft-open hardware, door slamming and pinched fingers are things of the past. The Series 2060SC kit includes 2066 soft-close hardware and assures quiet movement of extra-heavy-duty doors, so they close securely and with greatly reduced noise. Less wear and tear on doors and jambs contribute to longer life.
Johnson Hardware’s 2060SC kit also provides users with a selection of two Door Guide alternatives — the Hidden Door Guide Kit, which glides in a hidden channel routed into the door bottom, and the Standard Door Guide.
A convenient quick-release tab on the door hangers enables the door to be removed without tearing into the wall, a major time-saving benefit if the door needs replacement or repair.
