The Terre del Nord collection of designer washbasins from Simas is inspired by the silent and powerful nature of Nordic landscapes — forests shrouded in mist, rain-soaked clay, skies merging with the haze, giving the washbasins the ability to evoke emotions through material, form and design. The wide and diverse collection includes two bowls, one round and one oval, a round washbasin available in two heights, a tall round washbasin reminiscent of a basin, a freestanding round washbasin in a centerroom and wall-mounted version, and a round column that which can accommodate both the bowl and the two round washbasins.
Shapes and sizes are designed to expand the ways it can be used and offer architectural solutions suitable for all contexts, from the smallest bathrooms to the most spacious and spectacular settings. The surfaces of the washbasins are soft, textured, and intriguing to the touch and to the eye. Simas’s vast color palette, with its intense and contemporary matte and glossy finishes, blends perfectly with the new Terre del Nord collection and its earthy, intense, opaque colors, enhancing the texture of the ceramic and the sculptural character of the volumes.
The collection was designed with a modular vision and is open to future additions, starting with the study of a highly modular, high-quality furniture project with different finishes, with several open and closed elements, suspended and with legs, and with drawers whose fronts can be made of wood or ceramic with raw finishes such as stone, marble, concrete or lacquer. The first prototypes of this bathroom furniture line were previewed at Cersaie alongside the washbasins, created specifically to test customer and market perception.
Designed by Simas for a target audience that is sensitive to contemporary style and attentive to product quality and the symbolic value of objects, the Terre del Nord collection is aimed at those who seek not only functionality, but also beauty, emotion and authenticity in everyday spaces.
