Inspired by the world of design and haute couture, Dress Your Look is an exclusive and ever-evolving line that unveils a new and distinguished collaboration each year—a new Dress Code—with a renowned designer. Just like a haute couture tailor, every interior designer weaves textures, colors, and ceramic formats with masterful precision, creating a bespoke “suit” that elegantly dresses spaces. The fusion of high fashion and Sapienstone materials transforms each project into a unique work of art.
This year’s first collaboration takes us into the creative universe of Beriestain, named Best Interior Designer of 2016 by Architectural Digest. A graduate in interior design from Santiago de Chile and founder of the Jaime Beriestain Studio in Barcelona, his eclectic and timeless style brings a distinctive touch to this collection.
In his Dress Code, Beriestain transforms ceramics into a sophisticated blend of rich textures, diverse formats, and a deeply chic color palette, capable of dressing any space with precision. Inspired by the refined elegance of Parisian interiors, the collection evokes the grandeur of Haussmannian mansions, where the contrast between noble materials and lighting effects creates sophisticated and immersive atmospheres. Here, exquisite marbles, finely crafted surfaces, and sartorial details harmoniously combine to bring breathtaking settings to life.
The Blu Belge model, for instance, features a texture called Filo, which enhances the relief, giving the surface a vibrant three-dimensionality, almost animated by light, in a play reminiscent of the handcrafted inlays of Parisian lobbies. Crema Neve and Grigio Savelli, on the other hand, adopt the Velo finish, which generates a fluid and delicate movement, evoking the softness of silk and velvet drapery typical of historic residences, where light gently diffuses over the surfaces, creating enveloping atmospheres.
Fior di Viola 4D stands out with its luxurious burgundy veining, accentuated by the innovative Cresta texture. This special finish adds depth and dynamism to the surface, evoking the opulence of the finest fabrics and the sophistication of Parisian boiseries, where light interacts with shadows, enhancing every architectural detail.
A major innovation for Sapienstone is the Vulca line, which introduces small monochromatic glazed ceramics that, thanks to their glossy finish and delicate relief, create extraordinary plays of light. The vibrant tones of Rosso Cremisi, Nero Velluto and Bianco Neve blend with the understated elegance of Sabbia Perlata, resulting in dynamic and refined compositions. This collection is inspired by the wall coverings frequently used in Parisian mansions, where the contrast between matte and glossy surfaces adds a unique character to the space. The captivating interplay of these materials gives rise to Ombra di Luce, a mosaic that reinterprets the traditional material combinations of the Ville Lumière, offering a refined and timeless aesthetic.
