The Good Plastic Company is proud to unveil Growth, a new collection of Polygood patterns designed in collaboration with Gensler, the global design firm, serving as product design consultant. Expanding the brand’s signature Cradle to Cradle, 100% recycled and recyclable polystyrene panels, Growth reimagines traditional surface materials—marble, terrazzo and beyond—and supports a circular approach to product design. Thoughtfully created to honor nature’s delicate balance, this refreshing series transforms waste into beauty, blending design innovation with environmental impact.
Mimicking nature’s artistry and regenerative cycle, the new line reinterprets recycled materials, achieving a breakthrough in sustainability without compromising aesthetic integrity or design sophistication. Composed of post-consumer and post-industrial plastic waste and enhanced with accents from discarded refrigerators, washing machine enclosures, industrial spools and consumer electronics, Growth reinvents remnants of the past into the surfaces of tomorrow.
Eight distinct patterns—Cliff, Oyster, Pebble, Midnight, Pumice, Frost, Gossamer and Haze––embrace organic textures and biophilic elements. From the intricate details of tree bark and leaves to earthy, sandy finishes and the luminescence of water, these patterns bring an exclusive design-centric combination of sustainability and refinement to workplace, hospitality, retail and high-end residential interiors.
Designed to be as beautiful as they are sustainable, the nature-inspired patterns embrace the future of low-carbon materials without compromising durability or safety. The entire Polygood line is free of heavy metals including halogen, mercury, lead, cadmium, chromium, chlorine, fluorine and bromine, ensuring a responsible choice for both people and the planet. Specifying Growth can save up to 13 lbs of CO2 per square foot compared to the current industry average, according to Polygood’s Environmental Product Declaration (EPD).
The launch of this collection comes at a pivotal moment, as companies increasingly prioritize responsible design solutions. Gensler’s Design Forecast 2025 highlights the most pressing industry challenges and data-driven sustainability and material performance insights. In response, the Growth series sets a new standard for enhanced performance, sustainability and material richness.
