Contemporary Italian lighting brand Lodes announced that two of its latest collections are now available to order in the United States: Oblò, a versatile yet playful pendant lamp designed by Paola Navone – OTTO Studio, and Random Stick, a suspension lamp designed by Chia-Ying Lee reminiscent of bubbles. The lighting is available online through Lodes.com.
Oblò is an innovative pendant lamp with a distinctive aesthetic flair, emulating marine imagery while reimagining the use of Pyrex in lighting, designed in collaboration with Paola Navone – OTTO Studio. Oblò is available in three shapes and five finishes – iridescent, metallic blue, silk white, smoky grey, and transparent – which evoke the essence of the sea with a gently rounded and fluid silhouette. A single lamp provides a whimsical yet elegant illumination, while multiple Oblò lamps can be grouped to form a myriad of creative configurations of cascading light, perfect to situate over long tables and/or expansive living areas.
An extension of Lodes’ Random collection designed by Chia-Ying Lee, Random Stick is an essential yet highly decorative horizontal suspension lamp and extension of Lodes’ Random collection designed by Chia-Ying Lee. Elegant blown-glass spheres rest on a hexagonal bar, resembling delicate soap bubbles poised to take flight. The design displays an enhanced functionality through the placement of LEDs on the bar’s underside, which complements the diffused light by the spheres and provides even downward illumination for surfaces below.
