New Ravenna Mosaics

New Ravenna Mosaics's Ikat collection in jewel glass reinterprets the ancient textile in a brilliant fashion.

New Ravenna Mosaics’s Ikat collection in jewel glass reinterprets the ancient textile in a brilliant fashion. Designed by Sara Baldwin, the line is inspired by her travels along the Silk Road and her personal collection of Ikat textiles. The three patterns, Loom, Weft and Pamir (pictured) are presented five different color palettes. Weft, named for the horizontal threads in Ikat fabric, is offered in subdued tones of Quartz and Labradorite glass inspired by Uzbekistani leaf patterns. Loom in Quartz, Aquamarine, Tanzanite, and Turquoise glass picks up on the vibrant color and geometric designs found in contemporary Ikat textiles. Pamir, in three colorways, represents the Pamir mountain range in Central Asia. The collection is handcrafted in Virginia.
