Expanding its French door refrigerator collection, KitchenAid
now offers a 72 in. counter-depth model with extra storage space and a
built-in look. The unit’s bottom-freezer has a narrow door swing,
making it easy to maneuver in the kitchen, and adding design
flexibility. For storage of bulkier or oversized items, the
refrigerator shelves are wider, with no interior divisions. The new
model includes an interior water dispenser, which doesn’t encroach upon
usable refrigerator space, a FreshChill temperature management system
to maintain optimal storage conditions, a pullout tri-level freezer
drawer, blue LED display and digital controls to set functions, and a
Holiday/Sabbath mode that is Star-K Kosher certified for use on the
Jewish Sabbath and holidays. Available finishes are stainless steel,
black and white.
Two other French door refrigeration options released this year: Samsung’s RFG298 and RF268 and LG’s new line.
