Elkay’s
versatile new double-bowl Explore apron sink (SWUF32189) looks at home
in a variety of settings, from a modern loft to a rustic cottage-style
kitchen. The unit features two equal-size bowls measuring15 3⁄8 in. x
18 1⁄8 in. x 9 in. The sink is made from fine fireclay granules that
are glazed at more than 2,250 degrees Fahrenheit for a durable gloss
finish with a light sheen. The Explore’s nonporous finish passed all
IAPMO (International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials)
testing for dropped skillets, abrasion resistance and staining. The
sink retails for $1,500-1,875 and is available in a terracotta matte or
a soft white gloss finish.
