Ceramiche Marca Corona Arteseta Collection

With Arteseta, Ceramiche Marca Corona applied its research into the small-size tiles typical of traditional ceramics, such as glazed zellige tiles, to larger-scale slabs. Measuring 50 by 120 cm, the collection offers a version of this look with more contemporary design and performance.

This new white-body wall tile collection combines the craftsmanship of the past with groundbreaking new finishes and sophisticated, strong colors.

Arteseta features the new Kristallina finish, an extremely glossy, surprisingly velvety granular micro-texture that evokes and even increases the shine of the glaze used on traditional tiles. The material’s appearance changes with the angle of the light striking it, creating iridescent highlights. A combination of different technologies, Kristallina offers a soft, silky texture together with easy cleaning. It is ideal for damp locations and is neither fragile nor dry to the touch.

Arteseta’s color assortment is bold, rich in saturated tones chosen to dialogue with a variety of interior design styles and stand the test of time. The six colors available — gypsum, selce, camoscio, granato, malachite and cobalto — are rendered even more vivid by the white-body nature of these tiles.

Marco Corona offers two three-dimensional decors, Riga and Arco, to complete the collection and extend its compositional scope.

Riga has a regular longitudinal pattern and adds distinction to walls with a discrete, elegant texture that fits easily into many different contexts with a finely pleated structure to emphasize the interaction of the Kristallina finish with the light. It can be installed either vertically, including across a whole wall, or horizontally.

Arco, on the other hand, is more dynamic, a wavy motif that references the traditional peacock-tail design, defined by an alternation of smooth and rough glazed sections. This relief pattern reinforces the chiaroscuro effect and gives the surface a rich rhythm and depth.

Interiors can be personalized by combining the six plain tile colors and the two three-dimensional decors for highly individual results.

The generous size of Arteseta is equally suited to large or intimate spaces, as well as residential and public contexts. Easy to install, the slab is designed to minimize joints and give finished surfaces the greatest possible continuity. As well as enhancing the surface’s beauty, the soft, silky Kristallina finish provides easier hygiene and care, for locations that combine convenience with visual impact.
