Brendan Ravenhill Studio has launched the Beam family of pendants, the studio’s design response to the efficiency and light-casting qualities of LEDs. The two shade options are crafted from opal acrylic and oak plywood, and each provides light that is both ambient and directional. The angled sides and gently rounded ends of the shades imply the directionality of both the light and of the fixture in space, and both shade options are made of the same pair of parts, attached to each other and the spine using aluminum shade clips and brackets. The Beam pendant is available in 46 and 84 inches.
