Australian-born hardware brand Bankston Architectural, known for its intentionally designed sculptural hardware and prestigious collaborations, announced four new arrivals to its multi-award winning Super Collection, a disruptive assortment that forms its ethos from the experimental nature and irregularity of Radical Design.
Created in collaboration with the innovative Adelaide-based architecture firm Sans-Arc Studio, the new pieces expand upon the range through playful geometric abstractions and unique forms underscored by functional design.
The collaboration between Bankston Architectural and Sans-Arc Studio reflects a shared commitment to rethinking architectural hardware, transforming everyday elements into sculptural, design-driven statements. Drawing inspiration from the Radical Design Movement of the 1960s, the pieces pay homage to the period that encouraged bold new ways of thinking and expressive explorations of shape, color and material. These principles serve as a throughline in the Super Collection.
The Super Collection’s new arrivals reflect the same design principles as the original pieces while representing a natural evolution to ensure inclusivity and versatility in spaces they are specified within. Available in five materials — champagne PVD, nero, neutralis, polished chrome and smooth nickel — the result is a tactile, visually stunning range that transforms the hardware into a daily design interaction.
Bankston Architectural’s expanded Super Collection adds to the brand’s successful range of collaborative collections, including Casts by Edition Office and Hemispheres by Civilian Projects. Complementing the expansion of the Super Collection and demonstrating Bankston Architectural’s commitment to its valued trade partners, the brand has also introduced the Bankston Trade Portal — a powerful new tool designed to streamline project planning, simplify purchasing and empower industry professionals across interior design, architecture and construction. Members have access to direct project support from Bankston Architectural’s project team to help build schedules that reflect their visions directly within the platform.
