The company has teamed up with Forest Carbon, the country’s leading developer of voluntary carbon woodland schemes certified under the Woodland Carbon Code. Together they will commence planting from November 2021 the Graham & Brown Woodland at Broughton Hall Sanctuary (UK). This will see around 25,000 trees planted to offset future carbon footprint and regenerate the land that they are planted on. This wood will not begin to capture carbon until the trees reach maturity in around 15 years, so Graham & Brown is supporting two existing VERRA-accredited international projects, one in Bali Indonesia (Rimba Raya Biodiversity reserve REDD+) and another in Uruguay (Forestal el Arriero Sustainable Forest).
