Coverings Announces 2019 Charitable Initiatives

Published: March 21, 2019

Coverings, the largest international tile & stone show in North America, will give back to the local community through a range of charitable initiatives at this year’s show in Orlando, Fla. from April 9-12. More information on the programs is included within the below and attached:

Coverings exhibitors Mapei and Florida Tile, as well as the National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA), have established a collaboration with Clean the World to assemble hygiene kits that will be distributed to in-need veterans in the Orlando area. The group will assemble 1,600 kits, including handwritten notes within each as a thank you to those who have served their country.

Coverings and Freeman will donate tile and building materials to benefit Habitat for Humanity‘s mission of building affordable homes for those in need. Coverings, Freeman and Habitat for Humanity of Seminole Country & Greater Apopka will work together during the show breakdown to identify and collect usable tile and stone from exhibitor booths.

The Tile Council of North America, along with 21 of its member companies, will reprise its tiled dog house program, in which custom dog houses are designed and built to showcase the healthy, durable and stylish benefits of tile products. The dog houses will be displayed at the TCNA Art Tile Courtyard (Booth #4209) during Coverings, where attendees can see the craftsmanship and meet furry friends, before the houses are donated to the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando
