Tile Trends at Coverings 2024

Published: April 29, 2024

I attended Coverings 2024 – the global tile and stone experience – in Atlanta last week as part of the event’s VIP Press and Influencer Tour. As always, it was amazing to see so much ceramic tile and natural stone in one place at the Georgia World Congress Center.

Although we did not see all the 1,000+ exhibitors from 40 countries, we did some of the best and brightest during our Tile of Spain, Ceramics of Italy and Tile Council of North America tours. It was so refreshing to see surfaces in materials alternative to quartz and marble.

Why Choose Tile

We started our journey with Alena Capra, CMKBD, the Coverings industry ambassador, enlightening us on the benefits of tile – and there are many! So if you want to branch out of your comfort zone, read on!

  • Hygienic & healthy: The material is hypoallergenic and antibacterial.
  • Easy to clean: No harsh chemicals are needed, and water usually does the trick.
  • Resistant: to water, mold, mildew and bacteria.
  • Durable: Tile is scratch, stain, chemical and frost resistant; a great choice for the great outdoors.
  • Sustainable: The material has one of the lowest carbon footprints and is plastic free.
  • Fire & smoke resistant: Tile is non-flammable.
  • Versatile in design: it can be offered in a variety of patterns, sizes, shapes and styles.
