IFDA NY Chapter Selects at NY NOW

The New York Chapter of the International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA NY), the 78-year-old global design industry alliance that is arguably the most diverse organization of its kind with membership that includes designers, media, marketers and manufacturers, has announced its IFDA NY Chapter Selects from NY NOW.

Best of Show winners included: 

ARAS, featured at Deco Boko, won for Social Impact Design. The groundbreaking tableware collection is crafted from 50% salvaged cedar bark trees, contributing to an environmentally responsible design solution while honoring Japanese craftsmanship. 

Be Home won for Tabletop Design. Its Jeweled Collection crafted in India is a stunning fusion of handblown glassware, rich jewel tones and sleek modern design, elevating everyday moments into luxury dining and entertaining experiences.

Featuring a whimsical and color-rich tabletop assortment, Thumbprint Artifacts captured Artisan Handmade Design. This artist-made ceramic collection, crafted in South Africa, is a vibrant celebration of heritage, craftsmanship and cultural storytelling. 

Cozy Earth won for Textile Design. Renowned for its innovative approach to luxurious, temperature-regulating bed linens, Cozy Earth blends ancient craftsmanship with modern sustainability to redefine sleep comfort.

The Home Furnishings award went to the Denmark-based Natures Collection. The company seeks to bring Nordic design and inspiration with organic, natural, authentic materials. 

Nielsen Trading Inc. won for Booth Design. Its presentation of Flensted Mobiles, the renowned handmade Danish hanging art, was a breathtaking display of movement, light and shadow. 

The Sustainable Design award went to Larch Wood Canada for its heirloom-quality cutting boards and chopping blocks.

Known for its artisanal, soy-based and sustainable candles, Alixx brings a touch of French-inspired sophistication to every space and won for Candle & Home Fragrance. 

Decorative Accessory Design went to Cat Designer Verrier for its artisan handblown glass animals, crafted by French Canadian artist Catherine Labonté. 

Art By Rising Phoenix won for Art Design. This remarkable collection captures a beautiful rhythmic dance of colors on canvas, transforming highly organized chaos into a mesmerizing visual experience filled with pure emotion. 

Continental Home won for Lighting Design. Every piece in its collection is handcrafted and 100% man-made, showcasing lamps, ceramic vessels and accessories that boast museum-quality designs, elevating them to the status of true art pieces.
