Wood-Mode Announces Winners of Inaugural Design Awards

Published: September 24, 2018

Wood-Mode Fine Custom Cabinetry recently announced the winners of the first-ever Wood-Mode Design Awards contest. As part of the company’s 75th anniversary, it looked to celebrate great design by featuring designer projects showcasing custom Wood-Mode and Brookhaven cabinetry in spaces throughout the home. More than 560 premier designs were submitted from the Wood-Mode network of talented designers and dealers across North America.

“As part of our 75th anniversary celebration, we wanted to recognize and highlight the best-of-the-best projects that showcase Wood-Mode at the heart of the design,” said Brooks Gronlund, president and COO of Wood-Mode Fine Custom Cabinetry.

Winners were recognized and celebrated last week at the two-day Wood-Mode Product Showcase event. Award categories ranged from showroom displays and kitchen and bath projects designed by dealers from across the U.S. and Canada to unique, innovative spaces utilizing the seemingly limitless customization options offered by the company.

Judging for the national categories was performed by two distinguished Wood-Mode alumni: John Troxell, former director of design, and Don O’Connor, former director of training. For more than 30 years apiece, both esteemed judges were instrumental in the evolution of the Wood-Mode brand and the aspirational lifestyle it has represented for many years.
