The Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA) has officially announced the KCMA Design Awards program for 2025 and is inviting kitchen and bath designers to submit their best kitchen design projects featuring KCMA Member cabinets. Following the success of last year’s inaugural competition, the program is intended to recognize outstanding kitchen designs by professionals practicing in the United States and Canada.
“We’re very excited about the kickoff of the 2025 KCMA Design Awards,” said KCMA CEO Betsy Natz. “Beyond recognizing outstanding kitchen designs, the overarching goal of the program is to promote public interest in cabinet design excellence. Last year’s competition, which marked the program’s debut, was a success beyond all expectations. The competition will continue to focus on the quality of the cabinet environments within kitchens, while promoting the important role kitchen and bath designers play in the process.”
“This competition is a great opportunity for design professionals to showcase their best designs, gain recognition among their peers, and build exposure for their work and firm,” continued Natz. “But it’s not all about winning – it’s also a way spark community engagement by shining a spotlight on innovation, quality, and originality.”
According to Natz, entries for the KCMA 2025 Design Awards program may be submitted from November 1, 2024, through February 1, 2025. Judging will take place February 15 through March 1, 2025. For the 2025 inaugural program, designers may submit eligible projects completed during calendar years 2023 and 2024. After judging is finalized, one (1) First Place Award for Best Kitchen Design will be named. The winner receives a trip to the 2025 KCMA Spring Leadership Conference to receive their award, including airfare, accommodations, and a $1,000 stipend for expenses. The First Place Award winner will also be featured in a full-page advertisement in Kitchen & Bath Design News and recognized on the Woodworking Network and KCMA websites. One (1) Second Place Award for 2nd Best Kitchen design will also receive a $500 cash award.
