Bemis Acquires Bio Bidet

Published: January 25, 2021

As nationwide toilet paper shortages and social distancing took effect in 2020, Americans were forced to transform the way they live in, use, and invest in their homes; the bathroom being among the most impacted rooms of the house.

With home improvement projects on the rise, nearly one in five renovators who upgraded their toilet added a seat with a bidet (17%), up four percentage points from 2019, according to Houzz 2020 U.S. Bathroom Trends Study.

Continuing its mission to create and distribute innovative, sustainable toilet seats that attune to the consumer’s most personal needs and habits, Bemis Manufacturing Company, the world’s largest manufacturer of toilet seats, announced its acquisition of Bio Bidet, the U.S. leader in smart bidet toilet seats and bidet attachments. The acquisition will better serve Bemis’s customers and retail/wholesale partners by providing a product that fulfills the needs of the quickly growing bidet market.

For more than 90 years, Bemis has engineered toilet seats with innovative features and unmatched craftsmanship that are attuned to consumers’ most personal needs and habits. Bemis bathroom products are distributed worldwide through retail and wholesale channels, and range from classic, durable enameled wood seats to stylish plastic seats that complement any décor.
