Titus Group has introduced Push Latch S3, a compact push-to-open system for hinged cabinet doors without handles. An integrated Titus damper controls the door’s outward motion after a light push, delivering a soft, silent opening without rebound. Door gap adjustment and three mounting versions help manufacturers integrate the mechanism into different cabinet designs and production processes.
The damper controls the opening action, so the door moves smoothly and decisively. It also acts as a buffer when the door closes, cushioning the landing. Push Latch S3 works with hinges with and without damping, giving manufacturers flexibility in their hardware specifications.
Push Latch S3 requires a minimum 2-mm activation gap between the door and cabinet. Its integrated adjustment button provides 0 to +3.5 mm of in-out adjustment, helping installers set reliable push activation and align adjacent cabinet fronts. The button cannot be removed; its built-in SafeGuard mechanism helps prevent misuse and supports safety in everyday use.
Manufacturers can select a drill-in version that recesses into a 10-mm hole, a surface-mounted version with a housing and mounting plate or a routed-in version that locks into a prepared groove. A positioning lip guides placement on the surface-mounted version. If that version is accidentally hit, the mechanism can detach from the plate and be reattached.
Push Latch S3 has been tested for 200,000 cycles and is available in dusty white, anthracite and black. Titus recommends positioning the mechanism near the touch opening point on the side opposite the hinges. For doors with two hinges, the recommended width is 300 to 600 mm. Titus advises a trial installation for narrower doors or cabinets with more than two hinges.
