The NKBA Georgia Chapter welcomed three new members to its Board of Directors. Each brings a unique background, a passion for the industry and fresh energy to the chapter.
Evan Hill, president & owner, Creative Cabinets & Fine Finishes, joins the board as secretary/treasurer. Hill grew up around the kitchen and bath industry through his mother’s business, which sparked his interest from a young age. After graduating from the University of Georgia, he began his career in investment banking at Truist Securities before finding his way back to the family business, Creative Cabinets & Fine Finishes.
He started in business development and, since 2024, has served as president and owner, overseeing the company’s continued growth. His background in finance and experience running a growing business provide a strong foundation for his role as treasurer.
He represented the Georgia Chapter as a member of the 2026 NKBA 30 Under 30 Class and serves on the Carpentry Programs Advisory Committee at Chattahoochee Technical College, where he helps shape curriculum and support the next generation of carpenters and skilled tradespeople.
Kevin Virgilio Lares, president/CEO, Shower Pans LLC & MFC Remodels, joins as membership chair. Lares grew up in the construction industry, where his father worked for 50 years. Born in Denver, he was raised in Venezuela until age 13, attended high school at Ridley College in St. Catharines, Ontario, and graduated from high school in Bonn, Germany. He went on to earn a degree in business administration and marketing from Florida Atlantic University in 1982.
Lares spent 18 years with a retail conglomerate, the last five as regional manager, before relocating to Atlanta in 1996 and starting his construction career with Ames Tools. In 2005 he opened MFC Remodels, which is still going strong today, and in 2018 he founded Shower Pans.
He has been a member of the Georgia Hispanic Construction Association since 2014 and served as its president from 2020 to 2023. He is also a co-founder of the Hispanic Chapter of the Boy Scouts in the Atlanta region.
Taking on the position of programs chair, Alyssia Workman looks forward to becoming more involved with NKBA. Her goal is to bring creativity, organization and pure fun to the role while continuing to learn, share knowledge and create meaningful experiences along the way.
“I can’t wait to create meaningful experiences, build new connections and help make this an incredible year for our chapter,” she said.
