At the core of Flush Guard is a patented secondary drainage system that activates when the primary trapway becomes clogged. Three anti-overflow holes in the bowl direct rising water through a secondary trapway and into the standard waste system before it can overflow onto the bathroom floor. The secondary trapway is rinsed with every flush, helping maintain the system without additional maintenance. Flush Guard toilets are designed for simple installation with no special setup, using standard household plumbing and connecting both drainage paths to the existing waste system. This makes them suitable for new construction and replacement applications, while the large footprint can also help cover marks or discoloration left by a previous toilet, potentially reducing the need for additional flooring or surface repairs.
