Maya Romanoff Ananda Collection

Maya Romanoff introduced Ananda, its Fall 2026 collection inspired by the yogic philosophy of bliss. Named for the Sanskrit word describing a deep sense of inner joy and contentment, Ananda explores how thoughtful materials, craftsmanship and texture can transform interiors into spaces of calm, balance and well-being.

The Ananda Collection brings this vision to life through two distinct offerings: Tenona II, a machine-produced Type II vinyl wallcovering inspired by the beauty of woven natural fibers, and Zen Kanso, a handcrafted wallcovering that celebrates the quiet elegance of Japanese minimalism.

While each presents a distinct aesthetic and construction, together they embody the collection’s central theme of creating environments that encourage pause, presence and serenity.

Inspired by the art of centuries-old Japanese paper weaving, Tenona II reinterprets the timeless appeal of grasscloth in a high-performance Type II vinyl manufactured in the U.S. Its softly textured basketweave delivers warmth, depth and understated sophistication while offering the durability and performance required for commercial interiors. Available in 12 natural-inspired colorways, Tenona II achieves a refined balance between organic beauty and contemporary functionality.

Maya Romanoff Ananda Collection Tenona II

Handcrafted in Maya Romanoff’s Chicago studio, Zen Kanso expresses the quiet beauty of restraint through richly tactile texture. Tiny glass beads are encapsulated in a resilient compound, hand-raked vertically across a durable non-woven ground and then colored — all by hand. The result is a luminous surface that subtly captures and reflects light, creating a meditative interplay of movement, texture and stillness.
