Tile Club, an online tile retailer with one of the largest and most distinctive in-stock selections in the U.S., introduced two art-forward collections: Kyoto and Rowena Impasto. United by a shared artistic vision, both collections feature large-format mural tiles crafted in Spain, translating the expressive, textured quality of impasto painting into surfaces designed to transform walls into works of art.
Kyoto draws its inspiration from the gestural tradition of palette knife painting, capturing the softly layered, dimensional quality of impasto technique in a large-format porcelain tile with a glazed finish that adds subtle gloss to the raised pattern. Crafted in Spain, the 23.6-by-47.2-in. panels are designed to be installed in pairs, forming a seamless botanical mural in black, white, peach and gray that reads as a single, sweeping composition. Despite its painterly appearance, the porcelain body is durable and heat and water resistant, and the collection is suitable for backsplashes behind stoves or sinks, shower walls or fireplace surrounds.

Rowena Impasto takes a softer approach to the same painterly philosophy. Inspired by classical impasto painting, the collection’s large-format 17.72-by-47.25-in. ceramic tiles have the look of elegant plaster, with a gently raised design that evokes abstract florals and adds subtle dimensional texture to any wall. Available in cream and gray, the matte finish and understated pattern make Rowena a fit for both refined residential interiors and sophisticated commercial environments. Rowena is a natural choice for accent walls, backsplashes and shower surrounds where warmth and artisanal character take center stage.
