Why Water Quality Matters More Than Ever

Published: November 22, 2024

Water is vital to our health and plays a critical role in the ongoing and proper function of our bodies. But with contaminants often found in tap water, it’s no wonder more and more people across the U.S. are worried about its purity, according to a 2023 study from the Water Quality Association.

Mike Sale, the Director of Home Water Systems for Delta Faucet Company and certified water sommelier, heard similar concerns from consumers.

“We have always been laser focused on the fixtures that deliver water,” said Sale. “But as we continued to talk with our consumers about their needs, we realized there was a lot of opportunity within water itself. Consumers continue to be worried about the quality of the water coming out of the pipes and fixtures in their homes.”

Delta Faucet Company set out to elevate the water quality market. By harnessing the power of reverse osmosis, one of the highest tiers of filtration for homes, they created tankless reverse osmosis systems that are certified to filter out more than 90 contaminants from drinking water. These best-in-class systems use six filtration stages proven to reduce chlorine, chloramine, microplastics, PFAS, lead, arsenic, heavy metals, chemicals, nitrates, pharmaceuticals and more.

“The reverse osmosis process is like pushing water through a roll of wrapping paper,” said Sale. “As it moves through the process, the filter traps impurities, removing and flushing them down the drain, leaving you with very clean water.”

Delta Faucet Company invested years of research, testing, and development to offer consumers  convenient access to fresh, filtered water they can trust.

“We see people making expensive, less sustainable choices like selecting bottled water because of their concerns about tap water,” said Sale.

Over the two-year lifespan of its filters, the reverse osmosis systems can filter the equivalent of 10,000 water bottles to help reduce wasted plastics and wasted money for consumers. Delta Faucet Company created the reverse osmosis tankless systems to be simple to maintain and certified to reduce contaminants. The systems also tout a compact, low profile design, saving over 60% of under sink space compared to tanked systems.

“Ultimately,” said Sale, “These systems help restore the relationship between homeowners and their drinking water, improving their overall wellness.”
