For kitchen and bath professionals, CERSAIE offers a first look at thousands of new tile product introductions that seamlessly merge beauty and performance. Attendees can expect to discover everything from large, ultra-thin ceramic slabs to sleek, wall-mounted porcelain sinks and washbasins. These cutting-edge products are perfectly suited for a variety of kitchen and bath surfacing applications – including countertops, islands, backsplashes, flooring, tubs, vanities, and prefabricated bath furnishings – making them an excellent choice for residential, hospitality, and commercial environments. In addition to functional versatility, these products also showcase the latest design and color trends in tile. New products are rich in artistic expression, offering designers a wide palette of bold and nature-inspired colors, artisanal touches, and expressive shapes that reflect a global shift toward calm, authenticity, and connection. Italian tile also continues to evolve in bold and thoughtful ways with surfaces that celebrate color, texture, and form in fresh, sophisticated styles — from sculptural surfaces that play with light and heritage-inspired patterns to Art Deco geometries and full-surface cladding applications.

Ceramic and porcelain are particularly making waves in the kitchen and bath space, not only for their visual appeal, but for their outstanding performance. As a naturally hygienic, stain- and scratch-resistant material that is easy to clean and highly durable, tile is a preferred choice for countertops and other high-use kitchen surfaces. With sizes up to 5.25 by 10.5 feet, these tiles can be laid in one piece or easily cut to size, and coordinate perfectly with surrounding surfaces for a seamless design. In the bathroom, Italian tile design is also redefining what’s possible with prefabricated vanities, tailor-made washbasins, and integrated sinks that combine the elegance of ceramic and porcelain with the practicality of ready-to-install solutions.

Additionally, Italian manufacturers continue to drive impressive technological innovation, from through-body veining that adds intricate detail throughout the entire thickness of the tile to invisible cooktops with integrated induction systems. Italian producers are especially pushing boundaries with advanced finishes and production methods that mimic the unexpected, such as the dramatic, luminous effect of backlighting.
As the conversation around sustainable design becomes increasingly central, Italian tile manufacturers continue to lead the industry with their commitment to environmental responsibility. Made from natural raw materials, and free of PVC, phthalates, and harmful VOCs, ceramic and porcelain tile are inherently one of the healthiest surfacing options available for kitchen and bath applications. On top of this, Italian manufacturers have implemented rigorous environmental measures for decades, including the reuse and recycling of 100% of manufacturing waste and the reduction of water and energy consumption during production. As a result, many new products and collections carry EPD, LEED, and Greenguard certifications, as well as Declare labels. A growing number of Italian tile companies have also achieved B Corp status, underscoring their broader commitment to social and environmental responsibility.

In addition to its expansive 155,000 square meters of exhibition space, CERSAIE distinguishes itself with a robust offering of educational and experiential programming. It remains the only international design fair to have hosted 13 Pritzker Prize-winning speakers. This year’s event will once again feature the “Cersaie Designs Your Home” and “Building, Dwelling, Thinking” programs, offering design professionals a dynamic lineup of conferences, panel discussions, and lectures led by some of the most respected names in the industry. Visitors can also explore “Tiling Town,” a dedicated 400 sq m. space where live tile installation demonstrations showcase the latest techniques for large-format tile applications.
Beyond the show itself, visitors will be immersed in the rich cultural charm and architectural heritage of Bologna. Renowned as Italy’s culinary capital, the city offers a chance to explore its historic streetscapes, iconic porticos – protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site – and its vibrant, eclectic atmosphere.
