ZLINE Kitchen and Bath launched its new line of patented DuraMount Range Hood Inserts. The DuraMount platform features a rigid, folded-steel frame with reinforced triangle supports and staggered, overlapping mounting points. This configuration ensures a stud-stabilized fit aligned with standard 16-in. on-center framing without requiring additional internal bracing.
Available in four sizes — 28, 34, 40 and 46 inches — the inserts are engineered to fit standard 30-, 36-, 42- and 48-in. custom hood enclosures. To accommodate varying cooking demands, the 28-in. model uses a single 500 CFM motor, while the larger configurations feature a powerful 700 CFM dual-motor system.
The defining architectural advantage of the DuraMount platform is its patented hanging design. Installation screws are leveled first, allowing the insert to slide directly onto pre-set keyholes. This eliminates the need for prolonged heavy lifting, creating a swift and straightforward mounting process.
The system’s multi-point perimeter keyhole pattern offers versatile fastening options, making it simple to secure the unit to studs or anchors without complex modifications. This heavy-duty frame distributes weight across a broad footprint, creating a strong, dependable foundation within wood, plaster or metal cabinetry wrappers.
DuraMount inserts are manufactured to align seamlessly with standard framing and irregular wall structures, ensuring dependable results even in historic remodels or tight retrofit conditions. Additionally, when studs are unavailable, the system supports secure deployment using included heavy-duty anchors or a multi-track side plate for confident off-center mounting.
