Acoustics leader Turf has added Wall Scapes to its product catalog. This creative new collection fuses art and acoustics and is available in four designs — Acre, Peak, Wave and Groove.
The Chicago-based acoustic solutions company operating at the intersection of art, architecture and technology, has launched its latest wall-mounted acoustic collection, featuring carved designs inspired by the natural world. The collection showcases both practical and aesthetic benefits by combining intricate designs with Turf’s innovative technology to transform a room into a noticeably tranquil oasis. Each set of panels fit any layout or orientation, giving specifiers a uniquely adaptable design tool.
The collection’s four designs elevate the spaces they inhabit through their two-tone textures. Each wall scape consists of two 9mm stacked layers, with the front panel adorned with carvings that reveal a new color, while the back layer showcases subtle etches.
Acre’s geometric landscape is inspired by the organic patterns formed in farmland; the primary shapes together make up a panel that nurtures serenity. Peak represents luscious forests of trees and greenery, created through details of changing scale and depth to create a dynamic scene. Wave also takes inspiration from nature by using shallow and deep lines to mimic rhythmic waves. Looking beyond the natural environment to Turf’s core world of sound, Groove is composed of sweeping, endless arcs and carved lines that mimic the hypnotic pattern of a vinyl record.
All patterns in the Wall Scapes collection are available in horizontal and vertical layouts, made to accommodate any space. A standard panel size is 120 by 48 by 18mm and has a noise-reduction coefficient of up to 0.4. Acre, Peak, Wave and Groove are all available in all 32 9mm Hues, Turf’s newest color palette. This allows for custom color combinations, ranging from calming neutral scenes to dramatic contrasting designs. In addition, all panels are created with bevel cuts, which create a seamless flow once installed next to one another.
