Strasser Woodenworks introduces Lapis Night finish

Strasser Woodenworks introduces a new finish for the company’s solid wood bathroom vanities. Comparable to the blue that Van Gogh used in his masterpiece “Starry Night,” Lapis Night is a dramatic yet surprisingly versatile color for the bath.

Lapis was the most expensive pigment available to the most important artists of the Renaissance and Baroque periods. Made by crushing the lapis lazuli stone—a deep blue metamorphic rock prized for its intense color—into a fine powder, it was often reserved for the central figure of the painting. The Great Masters including Masaccio, Perugino, Titian and Vermeer turned it into some of history’s most influential pieces of art and jewelry.

Lapis Night reflects the colors of the lapis lazuli stone and pairs well with accents of yellow, peach, and pumpkin. Complementary colors include Navajo White, latte, and light rose gold, and the rich hue works well with brushed nickel or satin champagne bronze knobs and pulls. The Lapis Night finish is available in Strasser Woodenwork‘s Alki Essence, Alki Spa, Alki View, Belltown and SoDo vanities, and is available in shaker, slab and deco miter door styles.
