At Marmomac 2026, Quartzforms unveiled Ecotone Silica-Free for the first time, the new formulation developed as part of the Ecotone project, the program that brings together the brand’s ongoing research into solutions increasingly focused on the evolution of manufacturing processes and the changing needs of the market.
The brand continues to advance its research into materials through an approach that combines technical innovation, responsible resource management and optimized production processes, with 60% of the energy consumed generated from wind power, while 80% of the water used is recycled.
At Marmomac, Ecotone Silica-Free made its debut with an initial selection of five colors — Mars, interstellar cloud, Taj, sughero and interstellar gold. This selection marks the starting point for the development of the range, which will be progressively expanded.
The Ecotone Silica-Free formulation is also available for Quartzforms Vitium Certified slabs, specifically developed to be processed using the technology behind Arke Vitium, a product by Marmo Arredo. These are white surfaces onto which a sublimation print is subsequently applied, making it possible to reproduce the textures and distinctive characteristics of natural stone, as well as different patterns and graphic designs.
The range also includes slabs specifically conceived for backlighting, designed to broaden the surface’s application possibilities and enhance, through light, its depth, nuances and aesthetic appeal.
