A study in contrast, Pyrolave’s new circular sinks will add a textured, yet sleek look to the bath. Featuring a molded, unfinished-looking exterior and slightly askew rim, this contemporary look brings a sense of the unexpected into a bath’s design. The interior of the sink features Pyrolave’s durable enameled lava stone available in a full range of vibrant hues. Pyrolave pulls its Volvic lava stone by hand from an open-air quarry in the Nugere crater in the heart of Auvergne’s volcanoes. Using self-taught techniques, craftsmen and engineers shape, color and glaze the stone into a finished product. The sinks retail for approximately $3,000.
