Jessica Davis of Atelier Davis’ hardware brand Nest Studio and Atlanta-based interior designer Laura Jenkins have introduced the Profile Collection. This is Jenkins’ first hardware collection, and Nest Studio’s first time collaborating with an interior designer.
The Profile Collection of 10 pieces, including handles, knobs, pulls and mounts, celebrates Bauhaus-inspired design, where bold geometric forms and whimsy meet thoughtful craftsmanship. The Disc pull, with its simple yet sculptural form, serves as the collection’s jumping-off point, inspiring a series rooted in the interplay of shapes. Jenkins references her love of Giacometti’s bronze sculptures and the figurative drawings of Jean Cocteau with the coordinating Cameo pull.
Customizable handles with mix-and-match ends, Triangle and Circle knobs, and the playful Dangle drop pull all transform cabinetry and furniture into striking expressions of individuality. By mixing finishes, customizing patterns or embracing asymmetry, the hardware becomes artful expressions of functionality.
Davis is the founder of hardware brand Nest Studio and the creative force behind the Elle Decor A-List interior design firm Atelier Davis. After finding cabinet hardware for her interior projects uninspiring, she launched Nest Studio in 2012, crafting bespoke knobs, pulls and handles at the forefront of design. As both an interior and product designer, Davis designs hardware with interiors in mind, often using Nest Studio’s collections as a foundation for her spaces.
