MTI Whirlpools’ new Basics walk-in tub was designed with sensitivity to those with mobility considerations. The unit’s door is easy-to-latch and light-weight, while the interior includes a molded seat, a textured slip-resistant floor and two acrylic grab bars. The tub can be customized with a deck-mounted hand shower with diverter and hot/cold filler valves with handles. To enhance bather comfort, the unit can be specified as a whirlpool with six adjustable jets or a full-body-massage air bath with 20 air jets and a heated blower. Available in white or biscuit, the tub can be ordered with acrylic end panels, an extension panel or incorporated in a custom installation.
