Marmo Arredo presents Arke Vitium, an advanced technology capable of generating new expressive possibilities in contemporary design, no longer an imitation of nature, but a search for new material identities. The latest chapter in a research and development journey, the project was born from the union of complementary expertise — Quartzforms, Marmo Arredo and Veneto Technology.
At the heart of the process lies a specially developed Quartzforms slab, conceived specifically for this application. The slab is first cut and drilled according to the desired design, whether a kitchen countertop, table or custom furnishing element, and is then positioned on a purpose-built machine, where the texturization phase takes place. It is at this stage that the material acquires its distinctive identity. The veining and tonal variations typical of natural stone are reproduced with extreme precision and extended seamlessly across the edges. The result is a surface that conveys a monolithic, three-dimensional effect, where the texture flows uninterrupted throughout the entire volume, combining aesthetic realism with advanced technical performance.
Today, Arke Vitium stands as a fully operational technology, already finding its first concrete applications in both contract settings and collaborations with some of the leading players in the kitchen industry, where Marmo Arredo acts as a partner. Within this framework, the surface becomes a true design tool, capable of engaging with diverse design languages and opening new possibilities in the creation of kitchen worktops, tables, cabinet fronts, recessed surfaces and complex three-dimensional elements.
Stone is no longer merely a model to imitate. It is a starting point from which to imagine new material identities. Texture is a language open to experimentation and expressive freedom. Matter transforms into a continuous design system, a blank canvas on which to reinterpret nature or envision new formal paradigms, turning technology into a creative tool.
