LX Hausys America Inc. is launching the new premium panel system Borte at KBIS 2026. Bringing the innovative design, advanced technology and sustainability benefits for which LX Hausys is known, Borte offers design professionals a new option for reimagining kitchen, bathroom and other spaces with elevated aesthetics, exceptional durability and easy maintenance.
Borte is debuting with three distinctive collections and its Complete Product Program, a suite of edgebands, films, profiles and foil that perfectly coordinate with the panels. Each element of the program allows for a seamless and consistent design throughout any space while offering greater design diversity and a premium quality look. All Borte edgebands are precisely color-matched to the panel colors and are available in Pur/Eva and zero-joint edge types in widths of 22mm, 41mm and 45mm.
Borte’s three debuting collections were developed by LX Hausys’ internationally recognized and award-winning Global Design Team based in Seoul, South Korea. Drawing on their extensive global trend research capabilities and U.S. customer feedback, the curated mix of patterns, hues and textures across the three collections capture the design desires of homeowners today, making Borte an ideal solution for cabinets, closets, furniture and other applications across an array of interiors.

The Reserve Collection, available in nine colors, celebrates surfaces shaped by texture, detail and craftsmanship. Inspired by hand-worked materials and refined finishes, each option highlights depth, movement and character designed to be seen, touched and lived with.
The Hue Collection, available in 20 colors, explores color as atmosphere, from quiet neutrals to deeper, more expressive tones. Inspired by light, landscape and everyday environments, each shade is designed to shape mood, enhance space and create a feeling of calm confidence in modern interiors.
The Origin Collection is rooted in the modern sophistication of natural materials, drawing from woods, soft finishes and enduring forms. Available in 18 colors, these surfaces bring warmth and balance to interiors, creating spaces that feel grounded, welcoming and thoughtfully composed. Borte panels are being stocked at LX Hausys’ Central Distribution Center in Adairsville, Ga., allowing for quick delivery throughout the U.S., Mexico and Canada.
Every Borte surface features LX Hausys’ Super Matte Resistant (SMR) technology. SMR is a coating innovation that brings a refined aesthetic and an embossed, tailored texture to create an authentic feel. Proven in tests to prevent stains, scratches and fingerprint smudges, Borte surfaces with SMR technology meet the highest levels of design and durability and allow for easy maintenance.
Borte supports healthier indoor environments through its Greenguard Gold certification and its CARB P2 certification for low formaldehyde emissions. For customers seeking sustainable options, the panels can be requested with a bio-based coating. Customers can also request that panels come with the polymer film containing post-consumer recycled content.
Borte panels are manufactured using a medium-density fiberboard (MDF) core bonded with environmentally friendly glue and a high-performance polymer film with trend-setting designs laminated on the surface, while the back side is finished with a low-pressure melamine (LPM). The result is a product that offers greater cost, stability, performance and design advantages over wood and other similar products such as TFL, HPL or high-performance HPL. Borte surfaces come in a 4-by-8-ft. panel size and 18 mm thick.
