Lithos Design has introduced Polis to its Pietre Incise collection. Designed by Raffaello Galiotto, the new wallcovering features a dense compositional rhythm. It offers a decorative theme with a bold aesthetic effect, an endless play of solids and voids that highlights the natural essence of the material. Polis densely weaves small square impressions arranged in an only apparently random manner that combine to form walls that dance. Thanks to the careful choice of the marble hues, it is also lively and empathetic – a tapestry of relief and carving with ancestral echoes.
In Polis, bold and delicate shades combine together to achieve an almost hypnotic result: the decoration created by painstakingly removing the stone material breaks down the visual planes and creates an effect that, like a tableau vivant, changes throughout the day, depending on how light strikes it. Polis suits any setting, with the clear advantage of making entire walls or parts of the walls special and appealing.
