SMEG and Dolce & Gabbana have teamed up for the design of a special edition version of SMEG’s FAB28 refrigerator, transforming it into a work of art. Each refrigerator is hand painted by Sicilian artists and depicts lemons, the trinacria symbol, cartwheels, medieval knights and battle scenes – all distinctive elements of the poetic marionette theater and the Sicilian Cart as well as important aspects of the aesthetic of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. These refrigerators combine SMEG quality and technology and Dolce & Gabbana’s creativity and masterful artisan workmanship. Hand painted, each appliance is limited to 100 units. Artists include: Sebastiano Patania, Salvatore Sapienza, Alice Valenti, the Bevilacqua Brothers, Adriana Zambonelli, Tiziana Nicosia, Biagio Castilletti and Damiano Rotella.
