Italstone is the Italgraniti project specifically dedicated to large porcelain stoneware slabs in sizes up to 160 by 320 cm and in two thicknesses — 1.2 and 2 cm. The brand combines uncompromising technical standards, the purest raw materials and impeccable finishes in a versatile, refined ceramic solution that delivers outstanding performance. These are surfaces designed and manufactured in Italy to serve contemporary architecture and interior design with the output of a sustainable production system.
The new Italgraniti Group plant custom-built for large slabs went into production at the start of 2025 and is the outcome of an investment of more than €60 million, making it a significant example of Industry 5.0 principles in practice. The Italstone project is based on the technologies, some of the most advanced and most sustainable currently available, of this modern production site. In fact its products, outstanding in both aesthetic and technical values, are the result of cutting-edge plants and a sustainable production cycle operating to the highest quality standards.
With the aid of ongoing investments in the best ceramic technologies and the research and development of products with higher and higher performance, the brand has achieved an exceptional quality level. Thanks to pure raw materials and state-of-the-art grinding, spray drying and mixing plants, the tile body mixes have a high luminance. The slab’s surface reflects light intensely, with a shine that satisfies even the most ambitious applications. This quality, rare in porcelain stoneware, reflects Italgraniti’s research into technical excellence and more exquisite design.
The innovative firing kiln, a massive 230 meters long, guarantees extremely precise control of temperature parameters, which reduces slabs’ internal stresses, making them stronger and easier and safer to shape. The sorting line deploys artificial intelligence for self-learning, fine-tuning the control models provided by the user, inspection after inspection.
Every slab is the outcome of painstaking study, not only of the loveliest naturally occurring stones and marbles, but also of the styles, colors and visual languages setting the trends in the contemporary design world. What’s more, with the exclusive RealUp technology, the overall design of the ceramic surface achieves depth and intricacy, through perfect matching of the graphic design and the three-dimensional microstructure, giving the surface a wealth of texture.
