GE introduces its freestanding gas double-oven range with 6.7 cu. ft. of combined capacity. The unit allows home chefs the flexibility to use a single oven for small weekday meals or use both ovens for larger meals or batch cooking. The upper oven preheats faster, using less energy, while the lower oven incorporates GE’s PreciseAir convection system for even browning, baking and roasting. The cooktop features five burners, including an oval center burner for even heat distribution over large, rectangular pans and griddles. Depending on the model, the range may come with a 20,000-Btu tri-ring burner for powerful cooking. The range retails from $1,799 – 3,299.
