Ethimo Phil Sink

The Phil sink, complete with a handy work surface/top in teak, is fitted with fixed feet.

Ethimo presents Phil, its first project linked to the world of kitchens, in collaboration with Gordon Guillaumier. Made up of a single cylindrical base in metal in the colors olive green and sepia black, the units feature refined teak details and come in three possible configurations — sink, induction hob and barbecue. These round islands can co-exist with their different functions, creating circular movement and activities, or be used on their own.

The sink, complete with a handy work surface/top in teak, is fitted with fixed feet, while the two cooking options have cables and are also available on wheels, meaning they can easily be moved to where they are needed, emphasizing the dynamic versatile character of this project.

The Ethimo modus operandi has always been characterized by the creation of increasingly more complete, comfortable open-air spaces that set trends for quality outdoor living, in perfect empathy with nature and in line with new lifestyles. This is the creative spirt behind Phil, a kitchen with a smart ‘poise’ that simplifies the art of outdoor cooking.

Phil, the design challenge met by Ethimo and Guillaumier, sees a new element take shape, with an unconventional design that, thanks to its special “nomadic” configuration, emphasizes the concept of outdoor entertaining, telling the story not only of an original way to personalize outdoor settings, but of enjoying contemporary cooking in a creative, relaxed way.

With its elegant yet informal look, Phil is the result of careful reflection on outdoor living: whether it be a portico, patio, terrace, poolside or city balcony, this unusual element makes any setting, however small, easy to use and allows the kitchen area to be managed simply, functionally and quickly. Thanks to its sizes and technical features, Phil squeezes all the main kitchen activities into a small ergonomic space, ensuring maximum functionality. Its constructive equilibria, like stability and sturdiness, are highlighted by its ‘soft’ unconventional design.

With Phil, Ethimo and Guillaumier provide a new kitchen experience, creating a concept that is the perfect balance of freedom and formality, able to adapt to settings of different sizes and uses and the natural choice for completing open-air spaces.
