Duravit Qatego Two-Piece Toilet

Duravit celebrates World Toilet Day today with the introduction of the Qatego Two-Piece Toilet designed by Studio F.A. Porsche. As Duravit’s first carbon-neutrally fired product from its new ceramics facility in Matane, Québec, Qatego combines elegant design with exceptional performance.

The new toilet features a universal elongated soft-close seat, high-efficiency flushing, Duravit’s DuraShield 2-in-1 protective glaze that eliminates 99.99% of bacteria, and a Rimless design with a glazed trapway for superior cleanliness and consistent flushing.

Duravit’s 35,000-square-meter Matane, Canada, facility, the company’s first North American production site, will produce up to 450,000 ceramic pieces annually using local hydropower. Advanced automation, including driverless transport systems, robotic glazing and automated chamber drying, ensures maximum efficiency and quality. Operating on 99.6% renewable electricity and incorporating the world’s first electric roller kiln, the plant is designed to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions, cutting approximately 10,500 tons of CO2 annually.
