Duravit Americas has announced the launch of Ocavo, a new solid wood bathroom furniture range created with the award-winning designer Christian Werner. Inspired by Duravit’s Black Forest roots in southwest Germany – a densely wooded region renowned for its untamed strength and raw beauty – Ocavo is defined by its natural aesthetics, sustainable materials and clear design. The new furniture collection features solid oak vanity units, tall cabinets, and framed mirrors with LED lighting.
With its core focus on timeless, natural materials, Ocavo supports eco-conscious design. The oak originates from sustainably managed forests in Europe and is manufactured at the PEFC-certified furniture factory (PEFC/04-31-2357) in the Black Forest. The PEFC seal guarantees that the forestry process meets specified ecological, economic and social standards for a sustainably responsible product. The wood is carefully constructed with precise craftsmanship and finished with finely lacquered surfaces that highlight the natural grain of the wood.
Emphasizing the beauty of imperfections in natural materials, each piece of furniture features a unique oak grain that embodies its Black Forest origins. Ocavo’s products are available in three distinct wood tones to create signature bathroom styles: natural solid oak with warmth and comfort, light solid oak characterized by lightness and freshness and black solid oak, which is modern and elegant.
Vanity Units
Ocavo’s solid oak vanities impress with high-quality workmanship and a minimalist design language. The furniture features soft-close drawers, as well as precisely crafted beveled handles for easy opening. Ocavo vanity units are compatible with integrated sinks from Duravit’s ME by Starck and Vitrium series, while the console vanities are suitable for the brand’s numerous countertop sinks. All vanities have a finely lacquered finish that highlights the natural grain of the wood and are available in three signature wood tones.
Tall Cabinets
Ocavo’s Tall Cabinets perfectly compliment the vanities in the collection with their similar elegant design. Their shelving provides generous storage for towels and other bath accessories. The Tall Cabinet’s doors feature beveled handles and can be customized with solid oak or Parsol glass for a sleek appearance. With precise craftsmanship and solid oak in three finishes, Ocavo’s cabinets bring visual depth and warmth to the bathroom, highlighting the powerful effect of natural materials.
Mirrors and Mirror Cabinets
Ocavo’s mirrors and mirror cabinets with integrated storage are defined by clean lines and surrounded by solid wooden frames that tie the collection together. The frames feature integrated LED lighting that highlights the natural wood grain and creates a serene atmosphere in the bathroom. In addition, the mirrors are equipped with a defogging system to provide a clear view after a hot shower.
