DMF Lighting X Series Expansion

DMF Lighting, a leading architectural lighting manufacturer of premium modular LED downlighting systems, has expanded its 2-inch X Series modular downlighting collection to include Cross Beam Total Internal Reflection (TIR) Optics; a 500-lumen Ultra-Narrow light engine module; Pinhole and Hyperbolic trims; and extension collars for installation in thicker ceilings.

Specifically engineered for the X Series small aperture downlights, the uniquely designed Cross Beam TIR Optics provide maximum light output and minimal beam clipping, while minimizing glare to create a comfortable workspace or living environment.

The Cross Beam TIR Optics are designed so that light rays are first focused on the trim opening and then diverged to cover the room, with the center of the optic further recessed, resulting in maximum light output, minimal clipping of the light and minimal glare.

DMF’s products boasts a modular design (housing, light engine module and trim) that features tool-less, field-interchangeable optics, modules and trims, allowing for simply serviceability, easy design changes, and onsite aiming flexibility to meet specific application needs. Drivers are integrated into the modules versus the housing, so modules, equipped with quick connects, can be easily swapped out with below ceiling access.

The X Series downlights are offered in round and square apertures with fixed Downlight and Adjustable modules (500 to 1500 lumens) and a wide variety of optical distributions and color temperatures including Warm Dim and Tunable White.

The X Series housings feature a unique trap, providing post-install access to the splice box below the ceiling plane. This, along with integrated drivers, allows for painless serviceability — unheard of in a 2-inch fixture. A true breakthrough for error-free installation, the downlights are shipped with a patent-pending Precision Lock Collar that eliminates over-cutting and drywall repair, making flush-to-ceiling installation easy to achieve.
