Designs of Distinction (DOD) has launched Knurled Brass Foot Rail Kits—a sophisticated solution crafted specifically for residential interiors.
Unlike oversized commercial foot rail systems, the new kits feature 1.5-in. diameter tubes and fittings, scaled for home bars, kitchen islands and built-in cabinetry. Soon to be available in 8- and 10-ft. kits, each set includes lacquered polished brass components with a knurled texture engraved directly into solid cast brass for durability and detail.
The inspiration for this new offering stems from the recent visit of Kathy Constantine, DOD brand founder & BWI vice president, to Vibrant Buildcon in India, where she explored artisan casting techniques and brass production. As a result, these foot rail kits are manufactured in India from solid brass, combining old-world craftsmanship with modern design possibilities.
Modular and customizable, the kits are designed for ease of use, with all components also available à la carte for bespoke configurations. Custom lengths and finishes will be available upon request, making them a flexible choice for high-end residential projects.
DOD plans to expand the collection with matching knurled components, including slipper cups, bistro shelving fittings, pot rail kits and cabinet and furniture hardware.
