The porcelain stoneware of Silent Stone, Italian brand Cercom’s latest project, interprets a particularly compact variety of Egyptian stone, marked by long, slender veins. The result is a material defined by understated elegance, ideal for achieving a sense of formal clarity that eliminates the superfluous and allows the beauty of architectural lines to emerge.
Inspired by the quiet strength of nature, these ceramic surfaces combine a refined aesthetic with a technological core that enhances their remarkable material realism. This is achieved through the innovative 3D “sinking” digital printing process, which acts on the still-unfired ceramic body, shaping the material at different depths and levels to create a flawless synchronization between graphic design and tactile sensation.
The refined, minimalist character of Silent Stone is expressed through a palette of four colors — white, greige, cream and black — designed to allow multiple combinations with other collections. These four shades also come together in the Silent Leaf decorative pattern, where graphics and color merge seamlessly with the ceramic surface, evoking a subtle textile inspiration that balances contemporary living with a timeless sense of elegance.
A wide range of sizes, including modular formats, together with three surface finishes, makes Silent Stone a versatile and comprehensive design tool for shaping both indoor and outdoor spaces. In particular, the R11 versions are available in 9.5 mm and 20 mm thicknesses, expanding the collection’s range of applications.
