Casalgrande Padana’s new Hybla Collection offers a modern take on a stone with a rich history. Powerful and charismatic, it takes the viewer on a mystical journey through Ragusa and its authentic stone culture, exploring the area from the Hyblaean uplands to the sea, with sheer rock faces molded by the waves, rolling hills, centuries-old olive groves and magnificent carob trees. Used since ancient times for all kinds of artistic expression, from decoration to artworks and the architecture of churches and noble buildings, ‘pietrapici’ is more than just a construction material; it’s a hallmark element of late Sicilian Baroque.
The signature features of the Hybla Collection are its random veining, raised three-dimensional effects and subtle ripples on the surface, which recall the tactile quality and enchanting color shifts of the original stone. In this perfect blend of aesthetics and technical performance, every detail is an element of the design, featuring a sublime interaction between patterns and textures. The beauty and charm of this collection redefine the very concept of elegance, striking a balance between style, function and sustainability, while making it the perfect choice for comfortable, inviting spaces in line with contemporary trends.
The new Casalgrande Padana collection comes in four colors — beige, nero, tabacco and tortora in a variety of sizes with a natural surface and a thickness of 9 mm. The range is completed with a series of decorative tiles, for elegant décor solutions with striking visual and tactile impact that form a seamless combination of porcelain, light, architecture and design.
Versatile, adaptable and with superb performance, the tiles in the new Hybla Collection can be used to tile floors, partitions, accent walls or statement features. The tiles are non-absorbent, non-allergenic and fire resistant, and the brand’s Bios Antibacterial technology can be applied on request.
Like all Casalgrande Padana collections, Hybla is sustainable and kind to the environment. In addition to the bending strength, the collection stands up to frost, wear and tear, and temperature fluctuations in any climate. The tiles are dimensionally stable, fade-resistant, have excellent mechanical resistance, and are easy to both lay and clean.
