Duravit unveils Cape Cod collection designed in collaboration with Philippe Starck

Duravit has paired with its longtime collaborator Philippe Starck for a new collection inspired by the relaxed elegance of New England: Cape Cod. The series utilizes a creative mix of high-end materials to create new bathroom styles. Pieces include washbasins with modern slim rims, real wood vanity tops and a new bath material that is both durable and soft to the touch. With the design of Starck and the bathroom expertise of Duravit, the Cape Cod collection embodies the simple, chic aesthetic of the beloved region for which the series is named.

The strikingly unique vanities are highlights of the collection. One of four wood finish options (Vintage Oak, American Walnut, European Oak or White Beech) makes up the counter and rests on a smooth, chrome frame that creates a diagonal with the floor. The vanity is also available in White High Gloss with the option of doors and side shelves for additional storage space.

Cape Cod also features three different washbasins — round, square, and tri-oval — made of Duravit’s proprietary DuraCeram, a material that allows for a strong foundation, a slender form, ease of care and impact resistance.

The bathtub is made of a new material developed by Duravit called DuraSolid A. This matte-finished material maintains a soft, cashmere-like feel that is warm to the touch. The Cape Cod bathtub is available in freestanding, back-to-wall and left- or right-corner styles.
